Safety Net’s Senior Network Engineer Jeff Mertz has attained the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security certification. With this high-level credential, Jeff has demonstrated the ability to develop a security infrastructure, recognize threats and vulnerabilities to networks, and mitigate security threats.
The CCNP Security credential also validates his ability to plan, implement, verify and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks and work collaboratively with specialists on advanced security, voice, wireless and video solutions.
Cisco designed this certification for network professionals responsible for security in routers, switches, networking devices and appliances, as well as choosing, deploying, supporting and troubleshooting firewalls, VPNS, and IDS/IPS solutions for their networking environments.
The National Security Agency (NSA) and the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) also recognize that this Cisco Security courseware meets the CNSS 4013, a national information assurance training standard.
