Safety Net, Inc. is pleased to announce that 2013 marks an important milestone for the IT services company – 10 years in business. Founded in late 2003, Safety Net was conceived to bring enterprise-level technology and services to Michigan’s small to mid-size businesses. Founders and Principals Kevin Bozung and Beth Holmes-Bozung started the company with just a small personal investment, a home office and a handful of clients. “Kevin started knocking on doors in our area, and quickly found businesses with needs,” says Beth. “Many of those are still clients today.”
Since then, Safety Net has flourished, expanding to 20 employees, purchasing an office building on Park Drive, and adding a branch office in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area. “We’ve steadily grown, client by client, to serving the IT needs of over 400 organizations,” comments Kevin. “In the last five years, our technical support team has handled approximately 35,000 requests.”
Since Safety Net’s inception, the technologies, as well as the skill sets, to properly monitor, diagnose and correct IT issues have advanced considerably. Safety Net’s highly skilled team leads the region in technical certifications and training, and continues to achieve new levels. Staff achievements are a regular cause for celebration.
Managed IT services have also become an integral part of Safety Net. Nearly 50 organizations outsource some or all of their IT needs to the company. Your Net ™, Safety Net’s monthly managed service package, provides benefits to clients like guaranteed response times, predictable costs and secure networking environments. Application development and data expertise is also in the company’s DNA. In 2012, Safety Net launched Naveego, a cloud-based business intelligence platform. Like Your Net, Naveego was designed to “empower small and mid-sized businesses to run better,” as is the company’s mantra.
“We’re grateful to our clients, partners and vendors for their part in our growth,” adds Beth. “This is an amazing place to start and grow a business. We look forward to many more years of cultivating relationships and expanding our team.”
